MAGNESIUM PHOSPHORICUM PENTARKAN
Indications: Functional dysmenorrhoea and related problems
INTRODUCTION
Dysmenorrhoea is a term used to describe painful menstrual bleeding which commences premenstrually and as a rule peaks on the 1st and 2nd day of bleeding. There are two different types of dysmenorrhoea distinguished on the basis of temporal factors. Primary dysmenorrhoea sets in with the onset of menarche and secondary dysmenorrhoea sets in later stage. Aetiological factors are organic changes in the uterus or cycle related functional complaints or major pathologic changers to other diseases. However, psychic reasons are increasingly being regarded as being the cause of dysmenorrhoea. Non-organic functional dysmenorrhoea is often related to the ovulatory cycle and increased endometrial formation of prostaglandin, they contribute to hyperactivity of the uterus. The guiding principle for the composition of Magnesium Phosphoricum Pentarkan was to ensure that each individual component contributed positively to the overall effect of the combination and that the medicine was safe. They complement one another when used for treating painful menstrual bleeding (dysmenorrhoea) accompanied by premenstrual symptoms such as abdominal and back pain, cramps and vegetative dysfunction.
