MODE OF ACTION:
- Pain when stools begin to pass. They contain mucus and blood.
- There is a constant urge to empty the bowels.
- First stage of dysentery with mucus and blood and dysentery with slimy stools.
- Also indicated when stools have appearance of rice water.
- It also cover inflammatory and catarhal conditions of intestine with constant urge to empty bowels.
COMPOSITION:
- Kalium phosphoricum: Prostration. Weak and tired. Dysentery where stools consist of pure (bright) blood, patient becomes delirious, abdomen swells and stools may have appearance of rice water.
- Kalium muriaticum: Dysentery; purging, with slimy stools. Abdominal tenderness and swelling. Clay coloured, white or slimy stools with or without blood. Symptoms are worse due to fatty and rich food.
- Ferrum phosphoricum: Dysentery with fever and weakness. First stage of dysentery where stools are watery with or without blood and undigested food. There may be inflammation and low grade of fever.
- Magnesia phosphorica: Antispasmodic drug for flatulent colic, pain, enteralgia relieved by pressure and warmth. Cramping of muscles with radiating pains while passing stools.
DOSAGE:
4 tablets four times a day.or as prescribed by the physician
