Hyperlipidaemia refers to an abnormally elevated level of any or all lipids and lipoproteins in the blood. It is the most common form of dyslipidaemia (which includes any abnormal lipid levels) Hyperlipidaemia is divided into primary and secondary type. Primary Hyperlipidaemia is usually due to genetic causes while secondary hyperlipidaemia arises due to other underlying causes such as diabetes. Lipid and lipoprotein abnormalities are becoming common these days due to lifestyle factors. The advantage is these are modifiable with change in diet and lifestyle. Hyperlipidaemia can also be idiopathic, that is, there is no cause known. Hypercholesterolaemia a form of hyperlipidaemia is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease due to its influence on atherosclerosis. Intake of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids in the diet can lead to increase levels of cholesterol which can cause symptoms such as ? atherosclerotic plaques, xanthelasma, corneal arcus etc.

Dosage: 10-15 drops in 1/4th cup of water, 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Direction for Use: To be taken 10 minutes before or aft er meals, or as directed by the physician.
